PalmProof® is a family of bio-based, fluorine-free water repellent treatments derived from palm oil. Built on biomimetic hydrophobic technology, PalmProof® creates a durable barrier on fabric surfaces that significantly reduces surface energy, effectively preventing water absorption without the use of harmful PFAS chemicals. This ensures strong and long-lasting repellency while preserving the breathability, softness, and natural performance of the textile. The technology comes in two sustainable variations, PalmProof® BioWR-563 with 54% bio-based content and PalmProof® BioWR-710 with 76% bio-based content, each designed to support renewable sourcing, efficient manufacturing, and a low-carbon circular economy. Both options are biodegradable, providing exceptional water repellency while minimizing environmental impact. How it works

PalmProof® works by forming a biomimetic hydrophobic barrier on the fabric’s surface, reducing surface energy to repel water effectively. Derived from palm oil, it creates a durable, water repellent coating without using PFAS chemicals. The technology bonds to the textile fibers, ensuring long-lasting water resistance while maintaining the fabric’s breathability, softness, and other qualities.
